Energized, AI-Driven, and Future-Ready: My Takeaways from BoxWorks 2025
Emily Washington, Head of Product at MHC
September 23rd, 2025
BoxWorks 2025 brought together more than 1,200 leaders, innovators, and partners to explore one big theme: how AI is transforming the way we manage content and communications. The energy was undeniable — from the keynotes to the expo floor to the side conversations over coffee, it was clear that AI is no longer a “future state.” It’s here, and it’s reshaping the entire document lifecycle.
Watch my highlights
AI at the Center of the Conversation
Everywhere you turned at BoxWorks, AI was front and center. My own session in the AI Zone focused on AI readiness for the document lifecycle — a topic that resonates strongly with MHC customers.
For organizations in regulated industries, adopting AI isn’t just about experimentation. It’s about balancing innovation with compliance, security, and speed. My message to attendees was clear:
We need to embrace AI.
We must apply it intelligently to documentation workflows.
Leverage it for accurate, compliant, and customer-centric engagement.
Partnership in Action: MHC + MSI + Box
Another highlight of the week was presenting alongside Adam Storch, Chief Solutions Officer at Micro Strategies (MSI). His support, and MSI’s broader expertise, underscored the value of collaboration across the ecosystem.
With MHC, MSI, and Box working together, attendees could see the power of a unified approach — combining document automation, integration expertise, and secure cloud infrastructure.
At the booth, our teams had dozens of collaborative conversations that reinforced just how critical ecosystem partnerships are in delivering end-to-end solutions.
What Customers Were Asking?
In conversations throughout the expo, one theme came up again and again: how to modernize legacy systems while adopting AI.
Organizations are eager to leverage AI to improve communications, but they’re also navigating decades-old processes and platforms. The challenge — and opportunity — is to modernize the foundation so that AI can deliver faster, more accurate, and more effective customer communications without increasing risk.
Favorite Moments from the Week
Beyond the sessions and presentations, some of the most valuable insights came from informal conversations — the kinds that happen in hallways, at lunch, or waiting for a keynote to start. Hearing perspectives across industries helps shape our own product strategy and roadmap at MHC, ensuring we’re delivering what customers truly need.
Of course, the innovation on display — both from Box and across the partner ecosystem — was also inspiring. Seeing the creativity in how organizations are applying AI reminded me why events like this are so important.
Three Words That Sum It Up
If I had to capture BoxWorks 2025 in three words, they would be:
Energized — from the crowd, the conversations, and the innovation.
AI-Driven — because AI truly led the dialogue in every room.
Future-Ready — for speed, compliance, and customer impact.
BoxWorks 2025 reinforced that we’re on the right path — building solutions that help our customers embrace AI responsibly while modernizing the systems that power their most critical communications.
